IMTA Press Release

“Visibility. That's what it's all about.” – Models.com
How do you top being named by industry resource Models.com as one of the top 10 men for fashion shows this year? By being named as one of the Top 50 Male Models in the world. In less than two years, IMTA LA 2006 alum Sean Harju has received just that honor. Harju, who was IMTA’s 1st Runner-Up Male Model of the Year, also recently booked an American Eagle campaign, Diesel, Old Navy, and has an option for the Emporio Armani campaign. This after booking eight major shows for NY Fashion Week. As Models.com says, “A show fixture for the past 2 seasons, Sean's lean lines are perfect for top designers such as Calvin Klein, Dior and Dolce.”
A 1996 IMTA alum, Tyson Ballou is being featured in a new campaign for 7 Jeans to coincide with the hugely-hyped opening of the 7 Jeans For All Mankind first retail store in Los Angeles in November. The ads will run in prominent magazines such as Vanity Fair, GQ, Details, Interview and Vogue this Fall. Models.com hints on their website that Ballou will be included in their list of the Top 50 Male Models of All Time.
Since receiving an Honorable Mention for Junior Male Model of the Year at IMTA NY 2004, Tyler Scevers has proven he deserves more than just a mention through steady work for V Magazine, L’Uomo Vogue, British and American GQ, United Colors of Benetton, and Abercrombie and Fitch. He’s also shot for Dazed & Confused, Ferrari Magazine, Musician’s Friend, Affluent Living, and both French and Teen Vogue. He recently cut his hair short and is reported to be getting a much stronger response in NY, including a meeting with icon photographer Steven Meisel for an upcoming shoot.
If you’ve picked up a magazine lately, it is impossible not to see 1998 IMTA alum Christian Monzon. Appearing in the H&M campaign, Dolce & Gabbana underwear campaign, and the latest Dolce & Gabbana perfume campaign, Monzon has become one of the most highly recognized models in the world. Walking the runways for the likes of Versace, Krizzia Uomo, EXTE, Nautica and Sean John remain his primary focus, but Monzon has been moving his career toward acting. He's made TV appearances in primetime on such shows as "The Closer," "CSI: Miami" and "Entourage," and appeared on the big screen in XXX: State of the Union and If I Had Known I Was a Genius. He recently completed filming his latest feature, Fast Glass, about a group of drug-running hotshot pilots who are forced to work with the Feds. The action flick is scheduled for release next year.
