Baylee Rogers snags guest star role in 1st audition
IMTA Press ReleaseApril 9, 2008“A Thousand Days on Earth” airs Thursday, April 10, 9pm ET/8pm CT
There is always something good to be said for an actor going on an audition and getting cast in the role. It’s even better if it’s your very first audition after attending IMTA LA08 where you were the Most Sought After Female Talent and 1
st Runner Up to the Female Child Model of the Year. But what may be best is that the audition is for a guest starring role on television’s top rated drama…and you are only four years old.
Young IMTA alum Baylee Rogers guest stars on the hit show “
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in the series’ first new episode to air following the Writer’s Guild strike. In the episode, titled “A Thousand Days on Earth,” Rogers plays Cordelia Doe, a 3-year-old murder victim who is found in a box behind a comedy club. The case proves particularly disturbing to CSI Investigator Catherine Willows (series regular Marg Helgenberger), who becomes personally involved in the case as she searches for clues to the child’s murder.
In its eighth season, “
CSI” is a crime drama where the characters use cutting-edge forensic tools to examine the evidence to solve the case. Rather than a “whodunit” cop show where investigators interview witnesses and suspects, “
CSI” explores the“howdunnit.” The show has been the number one scripted series in the Neilsen ratings for four years running. Its success has also resulted in two highly popular spin-offs: “
CSI: Miami” and “
CSI: New York.”
Rogers, who signed with CESD in Los Angeles, has been extremely busy with interviews and auditions since attending IMTA. In addition to her Most Sought After and Child Model trophies, she needed an additional bag just to take home all of her other awards from the convention, including Winner trophies for her division in Fashion Print, Runway, Swimwear, Sitcom and I’m Ready for My Close-up, and Runner Up trophies in Commercial Print, Jeans, Theatrical Headshots and Toys R Us. She also earned Honorable Mentions for Soaps and Female Child Actor of theYear.
IMTA extends its congratulations to Baylee Rogers and wishes her continued success.
