In 1957 a rag-tag, shoeless, poor group of kids from Monterrey, Mexico shocked the world by winning 13 games in a row and the Little League World Series in the only perfect game ever pitched in the Championship. These kids, led by their priest and a down-and-out former major leaguer, embarked on a journey through the southern US and up into Williamsport, PA for the Championship game. They encountered many adversities, including nearly being deported and the bigotry that wouldn't allow them into certain restaurants or travel on certain buses. They never lost their faith and eventually captured the hearts of both nations.

The young team’s true story is told in The Perfect Game, a heart-warming tale in the tradition of Hoosiers and Friday NightLights. The inspirational feature stars IMTA alum Moises Arias, who attended IMTA in Los Angeles in 2005 with his brother Mateo. The Perfect Game also stars Clifton Collins Jr., Cheech Marin, Louis Gossett Jr., Jake T. Austin and Jason Panettiere.

Shortly after IMTA, Arias got his break with appearances on “Everybody HatesChris” and “The Suite Life of Zach and Cody” before landing the regular role of Rico on Disney’s “Hannah Montana.” He made his feature film debut in 2006 starring in Nacho Libre opposite Jack Black.

Arias will next appear in the Disney TV movie Dadnapped with fellow “Hannah Montana” co-star Emily Osment. The movie, which had been on hold because of the recent writers’ strike, is now scheduled to premiere on October 10th. Arias will star in the roleof Andre.

Also scheduledto be released before the end of the year is Beethoven: The Reel Story, in which Arias stars with Jonathan Silverman, Rhea Perlman and Eddie Griffin. Arias plays the son of a struggling animal trainer and single dad who finds himself the personal wrangler for a large and lovable St. Bernard suddenly catapulted to stardom. The father and son face off against unscrupulous ne’er-do-wells who have plans to kidnap thefamous dog for ransom.

Arias is currently filming Hannah Montana: The Movie. In the feature film version of the Disney Channel hit TV show, Miley Stewart (Miley Ray Cyrus), on the urging from her father (Billy Ray Cyrus), takes a trip to her hometown of Crowley Corners, TN to get some perspective on what matters in life the most. Arias reprises his role of Rico for the big-screen treatment, which will be released in 2009.
