
Supermodel Featured for 5th Time in Famed Issue

In addition to its vast U.S.readership, the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issueis being distributed for the first time in more than 10 foreigncountries, including China, Czech Republic, Greece, Mexico,Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain and Taiwan. Alongwith that international distribution goes New York 1999 IMTA alum Jessica White, taking the plunge for the fifth time into the iconic issue’s pages.
White was recently announced as the newest spokesperson for Maybelline, joiningMaybelline's prestigious roster of supermodels that includes ChristyTurlington, Erin Wasson, Adriana Lima, Tomiko Fraser, Julia Stegner,and Zhang Ziyi. Ads in the top fashion magazines and televisioncommercials began appearing in this month's issues.
In addition to appearing in the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, White will appear in “The 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Special” that premieres on TNT on Saturday, February 16, at 11 p.m. ET. The special, hosted by Brooklyn Decker, takes an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the making of the issue. A home DVDversion of the program, with bonus footage and exclusive access to thephoto shoots, will be released following the initial airing of theprogram.
The IMTA superstar model has appeared on the runways for New York'stop designers and worked with the world's top photographers. However,in between Fashion Weeks, photo shoots and filming TV commercials,White has been aiming her sites in a different direction. She hasstarted her own production company and has been working on filmscripts. “I’m finishing up my last script,” she confides in her Q &A on SI.com, “and we’re going to get the rights to it because it’ssomebody’s biography, autobiography actually, so we have to copyrightit and get the seal of approval before we start pitching it, but it's areally amazing film.”
